Mr. Wayne Freeman, Senior Special Agent with South Carolina Law Enforcement Division and Homeland Security has appointed Mr. Sam Blankenship, First Sergeant, Fort Mill Police Dept. to instruct the South Carolina Active Shooter and CCTA Training Program.

Sam Blankenship is a First Sergeant with Fort Mill Police Department. Sam has 16 years of law enforcement experience. His past assignments include: firefighter/NREMT paramedic, special rescue technician, bloodhound tracking handler, shift supervisor, and forensic investigator. His Active Shooter training experience includes: SCAASCAT Instructor, ALERRT 1 Instructor, ALERRT 2 Instructor, PACOP Instructor, CRASE Instructor, TEEX Active Shooter Exercise Development, ALERRT First Responder Breaching Instructor and several other training programs.

Sam has trained with Federal, State and Local first responders. He has taught active shooter classes across the state of South Carolina. Sam is currently a senior regional active shooter instructor. Sam is very passionate and believes strongly in providing lifesaving training and techniques to first responders and civilians in efforts to reduce the number of victims.

This training session will cover everything your school will need to know to plan your active
shooter safety plan and instruction on strategies to help your school in case of an emergency.
