At The Carolina Academy, every teacher and student are provided an email address. This email address is for school purposes, like students using Google products or for parents to be able to easily email a teacher. We have provided the steps below for our students and teachers to be able to login online or setup to receive emails to a mobile device.
Here are the instructions to access your school’s email account:
Desktop
Step 1: Go to Gmail.
Step 2: Type in your login info
- Email: firstname.lastname@thecarolinaacademy.org
ex: john.doe@thecarolinaacademy.org
- Password: your email password (If you do not know this or have forgotten it, please contact the school for assistance)
Step 3: Click on Mail icon.
iPhone (iOS)
Step 1: Go to device’s Settings > Passwords & Accounts > Add Account
- NOTE: On older iOS, go to Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > Add Account
Step 2: Select Google and insert your login info.
- Email: firstname.lastname@thecarolinaacademy.org (if you are a teacher it will be firstinitiallastname@thecarolinaacademy.org)
ex: john.doe@thecarolinaacademy.org
- Password: your email password (If you do not know this or have forgotten it, please contact the school for assistance)
NOTE: If prompted with Cannot Verify Server Identity, select Continue.
NOTE: If prompted to enter server settings, that means you’ve typed something wrong and you need to double-check for errors.
Check your inbox to see if you are successfully setting up your school’s email, if not please double-check your typing and make sure you have internet connection.
Android
Step 1: Open Gmail app. Go to Settings > Accounts > Add Account > Google
Step 2: Enter your school’s email and password then tap Next
- Email: firstname.lastname@thecarolinaacademy.org (if you are a teacher it will be firstinitiallastname@thecarolinaacademy.org)
ex: john.doe@thecarolinaacademy.org
- Password: your email password (If you do not know this or have forgotten it, please contact the school for assistance)
Step 3: On the Welcome Screen click I agree
Step 4: On Device Policy Screen click Install
Tap OK or Continue on any requests come from Gmail app (Do not tap Cancel or else your email might not work)
Check your inbox to see if you are successfully setting up your school’s email, if not please double-check your typing and ensure internet connection or contact the school for assistance.
