On Friday, September 20th, we held our monthly chapel. We had a chapel for 2K-5K, 1st-4th, and 5th-12th. The kindergarten chapels were led by our student FCA leaders who split up and each taught and individual lesson to each kindergarten class.
The 1st through 4th chapel was lead by our own Mr. Jason Floyd. He spoke to the students about being careful what you say. You can’t take it back if it has already been said. He used an example of a toothpaste tube, once you squeeze the toothpaste out it can’t be put back into the tube. Our words are important and need to be used to build people up.
The 5th through 12th chapel was also led by Mr. Jason Floyd. We had a special singing from Kaylie Lyerly, and Allyiah Smith. In Mr. Jason’s message, he used the example of a plain white cup, then writing words over to cup to show how we changed as we grew, and our minds matured and developed. Every word that had been written on the cup was an example of sin that enters our lives. He then put the cup in a tin plate full of liquid and watched it dissolve, showing how our sins are cast away by God’s grace. Mr. Jason used the scripture Micah 7:19 “Once again you will have compassion on us. You will trample our sins under your feet and throw them into the depths of the ocean!”
We would like to thank everyone who participated with each of these chapels.
