SAT and ACT Summer Institute - University of South Carolina

 The University of South Carolina understands the vital role that college entrance exams like the ACT  and SAT play in college admission and scholarship opportunities. Properly prepared students are more likely to perform to their highest potential after completing a test preparation course.

This affordable and comprehensive course is designed for 11th and 12th grade students on the USC Columbia campus Monday through Thursday from 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM each day and the price of $499.00 includes:

  • 20 hours of expert classroom instruction.
  • The textbook - The Official SAT or ACT Prep Guide and a workbook provided on the first day of class.
  • Real SAT or ACT practice questions and tests.
  • Easy-to-follow study plan.
  • Four (4) hours of live-online review sessions that will be held in before the first test date. Access to online office hours and recorded review sessions.
  • Access to online office hours
  • Recorded videos on test sections and topics 
  • Lunch is not included in the price of the course and students are encouraged to bring their own. Note that students are not allowed to leave the class during the lunch hour.

SAT Course Dates:

  • Monday, July 23-Thursday, July 26
  • Monday, July 30- Thursday, August 2

The University of South Carolina also offers a FREE SAT Information workshop during the academic year at USC Columbia. This is a great opportunity for teachers, parents and their students to learn how to prepare for the revised SAT test. You will learn general information about the Revised SAT and study tips on how to approach the exam. We'll also share insights about the exam, registration and test structure and spend time working on sample exam questions. 

Our next free SAT Information Workshop will be held Monday, April 9 at 6:00 pm in Close Hipp Building Room 008, located at 1705 College Street on the USC Columbia campus. Register and we send you a reminder.

Carolina Master Scholars Adventure Series

Celebrating fifteen years of learning through exploration, the Carolina Master Scholars Adventure Series is open to rising 6th - 12th grade students who are academically talented or gifted. Experience college life this summer at USC. Explore careers you've dreamt about and dive deep into learning without the pressure of grades. Jump-start your future and choose from challenging, fun and engaging topics.

Over 2,100 academically talented students from across the country have participated in this program since it began in 2003. This invaluable experience allows students the change to explore future careers and majors in the subjects that may not be taught at the middle and high school level and learn from renowned professors and researchers at the university.
