I’m still speechless.
There aren’t many times in my life when I simply don’t
know what to say, but one of those times is
right now. The things I do know what to say are:
*I absolutely LOVE TCA. Life today is fairly simple, and my
passions are, above all, to love, serve, and follow
Jesus, the Author and Perfector of life itself. Without Him, as priority number one, nothing else really
matters.
*I furiously love music, EVERY SINGLE DAY.
*I love TCA and I could not say that if I did not
love children. It is abundantly clear to me now, that the
Lord God called me to give my life, not to adults or even
so much young people, but to children. “And a little
child will lead them” comes from the Scripture. And
that’s pretty much it, not perfect at all, but learning and
growing more like my Master is my hope.
So, last Wednesday, during the Yearbook ceremony, of all
things, I had a toothache. Yet, what Mr. Johnny and the
Yearbook Staff chose to do, dedicating the
“CAROLINA LEAVES” yearbook to me,
may very well be the highest honor I’ve ever been
given. I was unquestionably shocked, having absolutely
no clue about this at all. Everywhere I go, and everyone I
talk to, I almost always tell them how much I love this
school, how much I love my Creator, how much I adore
music, and how I simply live for teaching and working
with children. So thank you, thank you, and thank you to Mr.
Johnny, Hannah Grace, Caden, Katherine,
Kaylie, Sophie, Scarlett, Madelyn, Katie, Ashlynn and
Kate. God Bless every one of you and thank you for
giving me a gift that has meant more to me than you
could understand. From a very grateful —-
Mr. Ira
